Sunny Saturday

I did my first "long run" in a long time today--I use quotes because it was neither long nor a run. Discuss. (Paging Linda Richman!) Well, it was a run, but there might have been some walking. Like, a lot of it. I slogged out six slow miles and managed to make my way back home. There's nothing like the feeling of banking some miles--though I'm really tired tonight I feel really great that I'm back running. It's been almost two weeks of regular running and walking and it feels great. GREAT GREAT GREAT.  Great.

We spent the afternoon at E's parents' house in the beautiful, peceful hills. It was gorgeous. A wonderful family lunch, and then a laid-back BBQ for E's cousin's high school graduation. It's nice to be with family. I can't wait to see more of everybody this summer.

And apparently I was wrong--tomorrow is NOT Fathers' Day. :) Whoopsies.

We're off to watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Happy Saturday. <3
