Like a bug or something...

photo of Henry by Carmen Salazar

(Last Saturday in the car)

Henry: Mom, is Jesus like, big, or kinda little?

Me: Big, Bud. Pretty sure he's big.

Henry: Well I like to think of him like he's pretty little. Like a mouse, or a bug or something.

Me: Really? Why is that?

Henry: Well, then he can, like, hide in all the little cracks like a bug because he's so teeny. Then he can be everywhere, but you can't see him.

Great news!  I've been so sad since I inadvertently left Henry's beloved stuffed puppy named "Puppy" (pictured above) somewhere in Yosemite.  Henry is still asking for him at night.  *sniff sniff* Last night E put in a bid for one on Ebay.  It's being shipped this week.  That lil' bugger was not cheap, either, as he is now a discontinued Ty Pluffie.  I'm just glad my boy is going to have his friend back.

  1. *Sigh* That's just too cute for words. I love how little minds thing and especially how they think about God. Sweet.

  2. Kids say the absolute cutest things!
That's great that you were able to get him a new "Puppy" I'm sure he'll be very excited!

  3. that is so adorable.. ohh no, his little animal! Glad you got another one. My sisters and I were (and still are, sigh) the same way with our blankets!
